Thanks to the mutual support of Mariupol residents, we managed to raise the necessary funds for a young Mariupol athlete, Andrey Tykhonovskyi.
Andrii left Mariupol with almost nothing. The most important thing was to save live. The family could not afford to pay for a trip to Italy for the European Championships, so they asked for support from the “I’Mariupol” Charitable Foundation. Together we managed to raise 25 thousand UAH – the necessary amount to pay for travel, accommodation and the fee.
“I am very happy and grateful. I will do my best to represent Mariupol in Europe with dignity,” Andrii said.
Andrii is the champion of Donetsk oblast. In 2021, he took 2nd place at the European Championships and recently won silver at the Ukrainian Championships. So let’s cheer for ours!
