Social housing for temporary accommodation – a dream for those who lost their homes..

"I am renting a private house with my daughter and son-in-law. The rent price is very high now,"
says Tetiana in Khmelnytskyi, while submitting an application for social housing at the "I'Mariupol" centre.

Like most Mariupol residents, she lost her home due to the russian blockade. Before the full-scale invasion, Tetiana lived in the Central District. She survived in the city during the hostilities and managed to escape the occupation in March. She found refuge in Khmelnytskyi.

Now she hopes to get social housing for temporary accommodation under a project of the Mariupol City Council. Hundreds of Mariupol families have already received such an opportunity in Dnipro and Kyiv. This involves the renovation of existing buildings into social housing with comfortable living conditions. Currently, such housing is also being created in other cities of Ukraine. In particular, in Chernivtsi and Kropyvnytskyi.

Over 2,600 relevant applications have already been submitted through the "I'Mariupol" centres. Our specialists provide advice on collecting the relevant documents.

"I am very grateful to the Mariupol municipality for providing comprehensive support to Mariupol residents. I am waiting for my application to be considered," says Rostyslav from Zaporizhzhia.

We remind you that the Mayor of Mariupol, Vadym Boichenko, together with the specialised ministries of Ukraine, are working to resolve the housing issue for internally displaced persons. As a result, the construction of social housing and affordable loans was recently announced, with Mariupol residents being the first to participate. The start of applications for participation in these programmes will be announced separately.
