Holiday in a Mariupol dormitory: Rinat Akhmetov Foundation for children!

Rinat Akhmetov Foundation, a reliable partner of the I’Mariupol network of centres, presented magical holidays for children of Mariupol families living in Dnipro dormitory “I’Mariupol. Comfort”. Representatives of the Foundation came here with fairy-tale characters, fun contests for kids, dances and sweet gifts.

Such events are extremely important, especially for boys and girls from the occupied city. During the entertainment event, the children remembered the warm atmosphere of their native Mariupol - the time when they peacefully celebrated the New Year holidays near the city's Main Christmas Tree.

The campaign by Rinat Akhmetov Foundation brings a holiday to children who have been deprived of it because of the war. More than 1 million children from all over Ukraine, including those from Mariupol, will receive gifts and greetings. Our partners visit family-type homes, boarding schools and internally displaced children with the New Year's campaign.

"This is the largest charity event in Ukraine, which has more than 20 years of history. This year it started on 1 December and will last for a month. It is very important to support our children, whose usual life, happy childhood, friends and holidays have been taken away by the war and now it wants to take away the holidays," said Oksana Ishchuk, Project Manager of the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation.

In addition to good mood, the children received sweet gifts from the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation at the end of the holiday. The same festive sets were delivered to all the centres of the I'Mariupol support network.

The Foundation has been supporting families in Mariupol with food and hygiene kits, psychological assistance and children's gifts for the holidays since the first days of the full-scale invasion.

We are grateful to our partners, and together we give children a bit of warmth and care.
