37 communities from 14 regions of Ukraine have become part of the first intake of the School of Community Recovery!

This unique initiative, created by the Association of Ukrainian Cities and the NGO "Mariupol.Reborn", aims to train municipal managers for the period of post-war recovery.

We are pleased to welcome the first trainees of the School and remind you that the training will last until March 2025. The programme includes lectures, case studies, forums, panel discussions, workshops and video courses to help communities effectively recover and develop.

The second meeting will address an extremely relevant topic for communities, their identity. After the war, this becomes a key issue in the recovery process: how the community perceives itself, how to form common values and a vision of the future, and how to communicate it to the world. All this will affect the success of the reconstruction and development of the community.

The topic of the new community identity will be explored by Oleksandr Starodubtsev, Deputy Chief of Staff of the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption. His extensive experience in civil service reform will allow him to address the issue through the prism of real challenges and opportunities.

We sincerely thank the communities that have joined our initiative and are ready to go through this important path of recovery with us! And for those who were not included in the first intake, we will certainly inform you about the next opportunities to participate.

The programme is carried out with the help of grant funds from the British Embassy in Ukraine and FCDO.
