47 more families from Mariupol received social housing in Dnipro
Yesterday, there was the final stage of settling Mariupol residents in social housing, which we set up in the former dorm of the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technology. From now on, 192 families from Mariupol will live here.
Among them are families of vulnerable categories of displaced persons who received housing through a transparent points system. Most of them are military personnel, multi-child families, people with disabilities, and pensioners. They do not pay rent, but only a partial fee for utilities.
The complex consists of 5 buildings that have been completely renovated and converted into smart apartments, some of which have been adapted for people with disabilities. A comfortable space has been created for residents here: recreation rooms, a co-working space with laptops, a gym, convenient kitchens and laundry rooms.
.

The social housing complex also houses the "I'Mariupol.Care" household centre and the Resilience Centre that help displaced persons adapt to their new circumstances.
This joyful event was shared with us by our friends and partners – Deputy Minister for Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine Ms. Nataliia Kozlovska, Attaché for Cooperation at the French Embassy in Ukraine Ms. Oriane Piveto, Coordinator of IOM Regional Offices in Ukraine Mr. Afsar Khan, and Deputy Head of Donetsk Regional State Administration Mr. Oleksandr Shevchenko.

I am sincerely grateful to the partners who made this project possible: the governments of Ukraine and France, the International Organisation for Migration, Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk Regional Administrations, Mayor of Dnipro Borys Filatov, Ukrainian State University of Science and Technology, and Rinat Akhmetov Foundation.
