Smart kits for defenders: Vadym Boichenko met with Mariupol defenders

For 86 days, the defenders defended Mariupol from the russian occupiers. They held out to the last. The mayor of Mariupol, Vadym Boichenko, met with the city's defenders who were released from captivity at the I’Mariupol center in Dnipro. He thanked them for their courage and strength of spirit.

 

"You are true Heroes who have shown the world Ukrainian indestructibility and strength! Thanks to you, our city held off the enemy for almost three months. We appreciate and remember the price that had to be paid. We are doing everything to support our military and their families at this time," said Vadym Boichenko.

 

The mayor handed over smart kits to everyone. They include a tablet, power bank and headphones. The kits were created in consultation with the military leadership. It contains everything necessary to keep in touch with loved ones. More than 500 sets have already been delivered.

 

The Mariupol City Council continues to support the defenders of Mariupol who have returned from russian captivity and the defenders who continue to hold the frontline. Camouflage nets and trench candles are made at the I’Mariupol centres. Thanks to the I'Mariupol  Charity Foundation and partners, the necessary vehicles and equipment are being transferred. Smart kits are being delivered as part of the “Free” project.
