Social housing in Kropyvnytskyi to open its doors shortly

Mariupol residents keep applying for social housing. Under the Mariupol City Council's renovation program, four social housing facilities have already been opened in Kyiv and Dnipro. Work is still going on in a few other cities, including Kropyvnytskyi.

Renovations are in the final stages here. Soon, the renovated and comfortable premises will welcome their first residents.

The first floor will house a mini household center – a hairdresser and a tailor's workshop. Also, five rooms have been equipped for people with disabilities. The renovated “I'Mariupol” center will also open here, moving from its current location.

From the second to the fifth floor, there are three kitchens on each level. In total, there are 101 rooms in the building.

In addition, there will be a gym, a children's room, a co-working space, and landscaping of the surrounding area – everything to make life in the new place comfortable and convenient.

While the work continues, Mariupol residents continue to wait for their homes. For many, this is not just square meters but a new beginning and a sense of stability.

“We lost our home in Mariupol, and before that, in Donetsk. It is important for me to know that there is a possibility to have my own place again, where my whole family will feel safe,” says Olga.

“Renting is very expensive, so I would like to live in my own room,” says Olena.

“I really hope we get our own room. I want to finally feel at peace and know that I don't have to worry about having a roof over my head,” adds Valery.

The work continues...
