We announce launch of the project "Assistance to IDPs in the Western region through local partnerships"

The "I'Mariupol" Foundation is launching a new project that provides comprehensive psychological assistance to internally displaced persons (IDPs) from Donetsk Oblast who are now living in the western regions of Ukraine.

What does the project involve?

The project aims at:

- Emotional support and work with war trauma: providing individual consultations with psychologists, group classes and therapy sessions.

- Socialisation and integration through cultural and educational activities: getting to know the culture and traditions of the region, which will help IDPs feel part of new communities.

- Developing emotional resilience skills: conducting self-regulation workshops, creative sessions, art and music therapy.

Main project activities:

- Art therapy, music therapy and nature therapy: creative activities to work with emotions, reduce stress and anxiety.

- Cultural and educational activities: learning about the cultural characteristics of the region, which will facilitate adaptation and integration.

- Psychological self-help: practical workshops on self-regulation techniques and emotional resilience development to help IDPs better cope with new challenges.

Where and for whom?

The project will take place at three "I'Mariupol" centres in Rivne, Ternopil and Ivano-Frankivsk. The participants will be IDPs of different age groups, from children to the elderly. In total, it is planned to reach more than 10,000 people who will be able to receive help to improve their psycho-emotional state and adapt to new communities.

The project is implemented by the Charity Foundation "I'Mariupol" within the framework of the programme "Assistance to IDPs in the Western Region through local partnerships" with the Charity Foundation "Wings of Hope" with the support of the Ministry of the Internal Affairs of the Czech Republic and the "Help on the spot" programme.

We thank our partners! Together we work to help people adapt to a new life, strengthen their emotional resilience and find internal resources to overcome challenges.
