Camouflage nets as a shield for our defenders

On the instructions of Mariupol Mayor Vadym Boichenko, special locations have been set up across Ukraine to host a special volunteer front. Every day, Mariupol residents weave camouflage nets there to support those who are defending Ukraine.

One team takes an average of 4-5 days to create a 4x6 metre net. Whole families are involved in the work, often even children. Each knot in the net is a small contribution to a bigger cause, a sign of care and gratitude to our heroes.

"This is my first experience of volunteering. I've never made nets before, but I've been involved in this project for two months now. If you don't understand something, you can always ask our mentor," says Tetiana from Cherkasy.

Camouflage nets are an invisible but extremely important area of work. They become a shield for our soldiers, help protect their lives and perform combat missions.

We, the people of Mariupol, know the value of peace and life. As long as our warriors are defending the country, we will support them with everything we can.
