Mariupol veterans can receive 2 million hryvnias for their own housing

On 24 November, Resolution No. 1176 of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated 22 September 2025, which provides for housing support for defenders, will come into force.

Mariupol residents who are combatants and persons with disabilities as a result of the war, who have the status of internally displaced persons, will be able to receive a cash voucher in the amount of 2 million hryvnias for the purchase or construction of housing.

On the eve of the programme's launch, specialists from the "I'Mariupol" centres have already worked with 493 potential participants. They checked their data in available state registers, guided them through the error correction algorithm and prepared for the electronic application procedure. Thanks to this, Mariupol military will be among the first to submit applications and receive housing vouchers in a short period of time.

Applications can be submitted from 24 November through Diia, and the next stage will be through the Administrative Services Centre or notaries. The consideration period is up to 30 days.

The voucher can be used to purchase or build housing within five years from the date of issue. If the cost of housing exceeds 2 million hryvnias, the difference can be paid at your own expense or with a mortgage. The voucher also allows you to pay the first instalment or repay an existing mortgage.
