Stronger together: Mariupol residents weaving protection for the front line

At locations set up by Vadym Boichenko's team, Mariupol residents across Ukraine are supporting our defenders every day. In particular, volunteers are weaving camouflage nets to protect soldiers on the front line.

In Dnipro alone, Mariupol volunteers have knitted and sent over 100 camouflage nets to the front during 2025. This is a significant contribution to saving lives of our warriors.

With the onset of cold weather, volunteers also knit warm clothes and make trench candles to support defenders during the winter.

"We have already worked so well together: we weave nets and knit warm and nice socks. Here we have everything recorded, how much and what we have done. This is my fortieth, anniversary net. We are doing everything we can to support our boys and girls on the front line and bring our victory closer," says volunteer Lyubov from Dnipro.

As a reminder, the activities of the "I'Mariupol" centres and the Mariupol City Council  in the area of veteran policy are part of the overall "Power Place" project, which covers active military personnel, veterans, their families, as well as the families of those killed, captured and missing.
