Аctivities for Mariupol
We continue sharing information about the psychological support activities for Mariupol residents run by the Charitable Foundation "I'm Mariupol" with the financial support of the King Baudouin Foundation.
Today we are going to talk about art therapy.
As the name implies, art therapy is a type of psychotherapy based on art and creativity. It helps to relieve mental tension and stress, overcome anxiety and fears, aggression and impulsivity, as well as harmonise a person's inner state.
Art therapy can include a variety of activities: fine arts, music therapy, dance and movement therapy, sand therapy, etc. Drawing and painting are certainly the most common type of art therapy.
Within the framework of the project, art therapy classes are held in Kyiv at the "I'Mariupol" centre (39 Antonovycha Street).
To sign up for the next art therapy sessions, please fill in the form https://forms.gle/Tv77pZVVYo88JWzU9
As a reminder, the project's target audience is Ukrainians aged 15-30 who need psychological support because of the war.
In addition to useful skills to support mental health, each participant will receive cool gifts from the organisers such as a branded T-shirt, a shopper, an eco-notebook with a pen and a cool sticker pack.
Moreover, the project has developed an innovative mobile application called Melty, the functionality of which can already be tested in the web version and on Android - https://melty.com.ua/
This will help to make the first important step for those who are not yet ready to join offline events.
Here are some photos from previous canisterapy classes.
Feel free to join us, we will be glad to see you!
