Mariupol – Le Havre: training in France and culinary prospects

Mariupol resident Kateryna Garkina is one of the graduates of the second training stream at the CUISINE MODE D'EMPLOI(s) culinary school in Le Havre, France. This became possible thanks to the partnership of the Mariupol City Council, the NGO "STAND WITH UKRAINE", the NGO "Heart of Azovstal" and the Le Havre municipality.

For several months, along with other Mariupol residents and defenders of Ukraine, she studied culinary arts at the school of the famous Michelin-starred chef Thierry Marx. She has not only received a diploma that opens up new professional horizons for her, but also experience.

"After losing my home, my views changed. At first I was hesitant – a new country, a different language, far from my family. But it became my unlimited dream, my impulse to enter the world of culinary arts, an opportunity to learn from the masters of their craft and improve my skills. Thanks to the support of the team and a French translator, I quickly got into the rhythm. The training was interesting and intense. At the end of the course, I received a diploma and a job offer, which I am very happy about!" says Kateryna.

By working together, we help people retrain, build a career and follow the path of recovery to a new life.
