Retraining: Together with partners, we help Mariupol residents to change their profession

We help Mariupol residents find themselves in new communities. Thus, the retraining project supported by Stepic CEE Charity lasted three months. Thanks to it, women from Mariupol were able to learn new professions. These include massage therapist, manicure master, groomer, masseur, etc. There are excellent and confident results in Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro and Vinnytsia.

Retraining for women in in-demand professions with the support of our partners Stepic CEE Charity started in December. For several months, they have been learning new professions.

In Dnipro, more than a dozen women from Mariupol have mastered new skills and become qualified accountants, cosmetologists, massage therapists, confectioners, etc.

Certificates on completion of training are also issued in Zaporizhzhia. Olena, who turned to I'Mariupol for help with retraining and employment, has already completed her training and is starting her career as a groomer.

"I am very grateful to the I'Mariupol centre for all the help and support. I am very fond of animals and have a dog myself, so I wanted to study to become a groomer. Thank you," says Olena.

Iryna, for instance, received a certificate of successful completion of the course as a manicure master: "I am grateful for the opportunity to learn a new profession. I am sure that this business will bring me not only pleasure but also financial support."

In Vinnytsia, Natalia, a nurse from Mariupol, decided to change her life and embark on a new professional journey. After receiving support from I'Mariupol's recruiter, she started learning about permanent make-up.

Thanks to the partnership of the Mariupol City Council team with IOM and a grant from Stepic CEE Charity, she has become a master not only of permanent make-up, but also of the art of creating beautiful eyebrows.

Now Natalia is self-employed: "I give women not only beauty, but also confidence in their own attractiveness!"

Mayor Vadym Boichenko's team ensures that Mariupol residents receive comprehensive support and assistance during adaptation. So, together with our partners, we help our people to change their profession and life for the better with I'Mariupol.
