The School of Community Restoration continues to ensure the implementation of the project
The "I am Mariupol" Charitable Foundation continues to support the implementation of the Community Recovery Academy project, which provides training to representatives of 37 war-affected communities from different regions of Ukraine.
In November, the second module of the Academy's curriculum, titled "Economic Development of Countries, Regions, and Cities," was joined by well-known speakers from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), the International Monetary Fund (IMF), PPV Economic Development Agency, and others, including:
Jinhua Zhao, Professor of Urban and Transportation Planning at MIT, founder of the MIT Mobility Initiative
Albert Saiz, Associate Professor of Urban Economics at MIT and Director of the Urban Economics Laboratory
Vladyslav Rashkovan, Deputy Executive Director of the IMF
Volodymyr Vorobey, Managing Director of PPV Economic Development Agency
The Community Recovery Academy, with the support of the ‘I Am Mariupol’ Charitable Foundation, was founded by the Association of Ukrainian Cities and Mariupol Reborn to train municipal managers for the recovery period. The project is implemented with the support of the British Government, the British Embassy Kyiv as part of the UK International Development programme and the International Republican Institute – IRI Ukraine in partnership with Metinvest and SCM. The educational partners of the project are Metinvest Polytechnic and the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy
