Together with our partners, we create a festive mood for children with gifts
The I'Mariupol network of support centres helps children from Mariupol feel the festive mood and regain their usual childhood. From Zaporizhzhia to Uzhhorod, the centres host festive events with gifts from partners. Fabulous performances, balls, master classes, entertainment programmes and interactive games are organised for children.
In total, thanks to our partners, more than 11,600 boys and girls under the age of 16 who are registered at I'Mariupol centres will receive gifts during the festive events. The Donetsk Regional Administration, Rinat Akhmetov Foundation, international donors, charities, local partners and volunteers are helping us to do this.
For example, in Kropyvnytskyi, little Mariupol residents receive sweets from the city council, AVK and soft toys from the Ukrainian Catholic University of St Sophia.
The Ukrainian Catholic University donated lovely soft unicorns and dragons to our children aged 1-5 years. The toys speak, sing and imitate different sounds. Such gifts will help children develop their imagination, creativity and even speech.
Sisters Liudmyla and Natalia are grateful for the gifts: "Thank you, we are happy that now we will have a real friend to play with."
And on Christmas Day, students from the Mariupol faculty of Donetsk National Medical University came to the centre's children's room with an exciting theatrical performance. At the end of the performance, the children received gifts from our friends and partners from the NGO "IDPs of Ukraine" - Kyrovohrad region and sweet cupcakes from DNMU students.
In Khmelnytskyi, children are happy to receive New Year's gifts from Charity Fund of the Lobazyuk family MY PORUCH. Among them is a little girl Daria: "I love sweets and the New Year. Thank you for the delicious gift."
In Kryvyi Rih, a real fairy tale for kids took place. Fairy-tale characters, dancing, games and interactive activities. In the end, each little participant received a sweet gift from our regular partners, the Azovstal Trade Union Organisation.
I'Mariupol in Vinnytsia hosted a Christmas gnome workshop. The children cut, glued, sewed and decorated their gnomes, inspired by the master's stories and advice. When the workshop was over, the children received sweet gifts from the Volodymyr Prodyvusa Charitable Foundation, which supports children affected by war.
Also, for the second year in a row, Mariupol children were greeted on the upcoming New Year holidays by partners from the IT company BILLTECH and the fitness club EXT FITNESS HALL, who collected wonderful gifts with care and respect and paid them their attention.
In Rivne, the support centre gives out sweet New Year's gifts from the head of the Rivne Regional Council, Andrii Karaush. And in Zaporizhzhia, Mr Ibrahim and Mr Arthur, representatives of the Charity Foundation “Act for good”, visited the centre for the holidays, held fun contests and gave the kids sweet gifts and good mood.
For the second year in a row, the permanent partner of the Charitable Foundation " Win Together" in Cherkasy has given bright gifts and attention to Mariupol children.
The UNESCO International Centre helped in Ternopil. Sincere smiles and joyful emotions of the New Year's gifts. Everyone liked the delicious sweets and hygiene kits.
Representatives of the city and regional councils visited the I'Mariupol centre in Dnipro to wish the children a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. They gave each of them a gift from St Nicholas and wished them good holidays and peace.
In Chernivtsi, Mariupol residents receive surprises from the German-Ukrainian organisation Blau-gelbes kreus and the Chernivtsi Business Group CBG. Oral-B electric sonic toothbrushes will definitely come in handy. The children are very happy to receive these gifts because they are not only useful but also ultra-modern.
Thanks to all our friends and partners, the festive mood in the I’Mariupol chain of centres has been prevailing for a month now.
"Our New Year's marathon started on St Nicholas Day. This is a difficult time for all of us. Especially for children. That is why we must do everything to support them in this difficult period. It is important to preserve children's faith in goodness and miracles. I am grateful to everyone who joins us in bringing a fairy tale back to children's lives. As children are our future," said Vadym Boichenko, Mayor of Mariupol.
The marathon of good deeds continues. We are giving Mariupol boys and girls a childhood filled with pleasant miracles, fabulous events and gifts.
